PCOS Causes...
PCOS causes, like the disorder itself can be confusing.
It took several relapses of my PCOS symptoms and research to realize the causes of PCOS. Sure your doctor will perform tests and possibly an ultrasound to determine that you have PCOS. An elevated testosterone level, ovarian cysts, and irregular menstrual cycles are the three main indicators that you have PCOS. The Causes of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome - Obesity
- Pollution and Toxins in Our Environment
- Insulin Resistance
- High Level of Male Hormones
The more important question is what causes a higher than normal testosterone level, ovarian cysts, and irregular periods. It's a hormone imbalance in your body, along with the inability to handle stress which makes the imbalance worse, which then increases the likelihood that you will be overweight and have a higher level of male hormones.
PCOS is often treated as just a reproductive problem,
which it absolutely is, however, the underlying causes of either your irregular periods or inability to conceive is an endocrine system problem. Your endocrine system controls homeostasis, known as balance within your body; until your body is balanced you will still be effected by PCOS. It is important to remember that Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is a complex disease and that the causes are difficult and complex. However, it is important to remember just by losing 10% of your body weight you will begin to see a change in the symptoms of your PCOS; therefore, reducing the causes of your PCOS by healing your body.
