PCOS Blog: Premenstrual Symptoms

March 6th, 2010

I realize as a woman we've all experienced various symptoms and degrees of premenstrual symptoms (PMS). Headaches, irritability, craving for sweets. Are your symptoms always the same, every month?

Probably not, we've become accustomed to just excepting PMS as the norm. In fact PMS is a sign of an imbalance in the body, in your vital energy.

Premenstrual Symptoms

  • Irritability

  • Pain

  • Constipation or Diarrhea

  • Headaches

  • Bloating

  • Appetite Changes

  • Muscle Aches

Along with many possible others. These symptoms occur because of unbalanced energy in the body. By balancing and treating your symptoms you can restore balance and well-being. One step closer to creating an optimal environment for conception.

It's important to note your symptoms, any factors that could have effected them such as diet, exercise, other treatments, etc on a daily basis. Keeping a detailed journal of your premenstrual symptoms will allow your patterns to be better identify. This will help a practitioner better able to help you address these concerns if he/she knows as many details as possible.

With a healthy diet, acupuncture, and herbs can help to heal your body which will result in fewer or no symptoms. This means a more normal menstrual cycle; on your way to ovulation and hopefully conceiving naturally. Make sure you are aware of changes in your body and your symptoms, this will help you stay aware of what needs to happen next.

If your body is completing balanced you should have no premenstrual symptoms, definitely an advantage for many reasons!
