PCOS Blog Post: My Goals for 2010!

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Let me first say, that I can not believe how quickly 2009 seemed to fly by. Ringing in a New Year is always bittersweet with excitement for a fresh start along with the thoughts that it can't possibly be a new year, already. Since, the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is over, my life is beginning to resemble my normal routine.

I have no excuses not to make a list of goals I want to accomplish in 2010. I'm healthy,motivated, and have the support from my loved ones. For more motivation, I'm sharing my goals, with you as well.

1. Practice my Spanish three hours a week.

2. Enjoy as many simple pleasures as life has to offer on a daily basis.

3. Become certified to SCUBA dive.

4. Volunteer for a least 100 hours this year helping children.

5. Cook two new recipes every month, which I plan to share with you.

6. Run a 10K this spring or summer....yes I'm really going to do it, especially since I'm putting it in writing and sharing it with all of you.

7. Improve the resources available to all the women with PCOS on this website.

8. Be more open minded; especially when it comes to dating...YIKES!! Anyone who knows me realizes the significant level of difficulty that comes with this goal.

9. Live everyday with a positive attitude.

10. Complete a TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) course.

I set goals rather than make resolutions; it's just my preference. My goals tend to have more focus and direction.

Challenging yourself is the healthiest way to create your own personal strength and motivation. I hope my goals help to give you motivation or ideas on goals for yourself this year! Make 2010 the year of accomplishments!
