Ovarian Cyst Symptoms
Ovarian cyst symptoms can be difficult to associate completely with an ovarian cyst especially since many are common symptoms often associated with other conditions or diseases.
According to the Mayo Clinic the following are Symptoms of Ovarian Cysts:
- Aching in Your Lower Back and/or Upper Legs
- Tender Breasts
- Irregular Menstrual Cycles
- Nausea/Vomiting
- Painful Sex
- Pressure or pain in your abdomen
- Weight Gain
Ovarian cysts can be confirmed by your physician during a routine pap smear. They are able to tell if your ovaries are swollen. If so, an ultrasound, blood-work, or both are normally performed.
If a cyst ruptures it can be extremely painful and cause bleeding. It's important to contact your doctor if you believe you've had a cyst that's ruptured. If left untreated it could possibly cause infection and other health concerns.
