Irregular Menstruation
Irregular menstruation is typically considered any cycle that doesn't occur every 25 to 35 days. A regular period varies from woman to woman as its great affected by your hormones. The best way to tell if you're regular is to mark your cycles on a calendar. If the number of days your cycles are apart, are similar and your period is close to the same amount of days; you would be consider regular.
Some physicians follow a text book answer, which typically states that regular menstruation is 24 to 29 days. However, what is normal or regular depends on you and your body. I currently have a 32 day cycle, that's regular for me.
It could be responsible for your inability to conceive as you may not be regularly ovulating. Your period can be effected by several factors, such as, weight gain or weight loss, too much exercise, poor diet and nutrition, caffeine, excessive alcohol and increased stress.
A healthy lifestyle will help to restore your cycle to normal; by eating a healthy diet, reducing stress, and getting moderate exercise your body will begin to function properly.
